Curriculum

In line with the emerging 21st century competencies, Music lessons are designed with core learning experiences and augmented by the four elements of Deep Learning to develop Communication, Creativity and Collaboration:

• Pedagogical practices of authentic experiences which foster creativity and communication

• Leveraging digital with the use of music software to deepen learning and create knowledge

• Learning partnerships of collaborative projects

• Interactive Learning environment which builds a culture of learning within the school community and beyond

• The elements of music

• Fundamentals of performance on the guitar, cajon, keyboard

• Language Arts x Music Soundscape composition on Soundtrap /GarageBand

• National day and Community songs by Singaporean composers: Pop Band
  performance

Sec/Year 2

• Fundamentals of GarageBand, Arrangement for Pop Band 

• Popular songs by Singaporean composers:  Pop Band performance

• Composing for film (Singaporean films)

Assessment

Students are assessed through group projects.and performances.
