Infocomm Club
Coding aims to excite students in a fun and meaningful way by helping them to learn new IT skills and to cultivate computational thinking at an early age. Through the activities, students will be equipped with relevant skills like block-based programming. At the same time, they will be imbued with values of care and resilience when they help one another to debug codes and find errors in the scripts. Applying what they have learnt and under the guidance of the ICT trainers, the students will work collaboratively and take on projects such as game creation, Virtual and Augmented Reality games and VR tours.
Media Club aims to promote critical & creative thinking skills as well as collaborative & communication skills in students through photography and content creation. In Semester 1, students will experiment with a camera’s shutter speed, aperture and ISO settings. They will be given opportunities to demonstrate and apply the techniques acquired for different genres of photography. In Semester 2, students will collaborate and produce a short video clip based on a specific theme as a group. They will learn the basic visual storytelling techniques, including storyboarding, shooting & editing (Pre-production, Production & Post-production). Media Club members will be tasked as student photographers during school events and encouraged to participate in the national competition.
